So you found the divine inspiration to write a song and you want to share it with the world, or at least with your friends and family. Excellent! To me, this is what it is all about. Being a great player means very little without using your skills to create music.

So when people ask Dwight and myself about our song writing, a common question is “do you start with the music or lyrics”? This is a good question, and as much as every writer may answer it differently, for me the answer is probably different for every song.

So, from a guy who has been working on being a good player and worked on writing and having something to write about since elementary school, these are challenging times we are facing.
